A Salsa tradition

Every year, Salsarians vote for the Salsa champion for that year. Each person can give one team member three points, one two points and one person one point. They can also leave a comment for each point allocation.

It’s always a lot of fun at the Christmas party, when the comments and points are read out, tallied and then the impressive cup is awarded! This year, the enormous growth of the Salsa team saw lots of points up for grabs.

Angela Rako takes home the cup

This year, Angela Rako is the Salsa champion, with a massive 41 points.

Some of Angela’s three-point comments included:

  • She always makes time for people despite her crazy workload
  • For taking HR to a new level, for driving results on the Salsa service desk, and for being a pleasure to work with
  • Salsa's Mother Teresa and guardian angel
  • An outstanding leader who manages to juggle multiple roles
  • For her absolute commitment to two challenging roles in parallel, and continuing to smile!
  • She is a gem of a person, who always listens to people and helps

The runners up

This year, the runners up were Suchi (17 points) and Kate (17 points), with Steve (last year’s joint winner) hot on their heels with 16 points, and Alfred and Antoine both on 15 points.
