Search Engine Optimisation

Despite what you may have heard, it's really not rocket science to get a site ranking well in Google!  The search engines use a few fairly intuitive rules to determine whether a site should be pushed up the results list - it just takes time to learn all of the rules intimately, and then execute effectively.

At Salsa we specialise in applying these rules, including solving more complex and specialist SEO issues for :

  • e-Commerce websites
  • Online directories or other database driven websites
  • Web Applications, where your website IS your business

We have experience assisting some of Australia's largest online stores, shopping sites, and web application businesses with tuning their SEO to achieve top results.

Here is a high level description which outlines the 3 most important parts of good SEO (we've simplified it, but fundamentally these rules apply):

  1. Structure - your site needs to have been built in a "Search Engine Friendly" manner, your titles, headings, keywords, menus, links and meta tags need to be setup correctly for the search engines.   This is the basic foundation of your site optimisation.  If this isn't done, don't proceed further.
  2. Content - to achieve the best results on Google, ideally your site should have a large body of relevant content.  This can include marketing information, product descriptions, FAQ's or any other relevant subject matter.
  3. Links -  the more 3rd party websites that have links pointing to your website, the more trust Google places in your site, and the higher it ranks your website.

Some of our results for customers:

Well, the process outlined above, can take time.  The trick is to be able to implement this process in the most efficient way possible:  create a large body of content, then generate a mass of in-bound links (aka link building) in order to simulate the "organic" search engine ranking process.

We can help businesses understand how to do this, and take a consultative approach to ensuring each of our unique clients have everything they need to make their site an extra-ordinary success in the search engines.
